A rare occurrence on TOC: the winner had a lower taste score

Last night for only the 11th time in Tournament of Champions history, the winner of a battle had a lower taste score than their opponent. I was surprised by the distribution of the margin between winner and loser’s taste score and in which rounds this has (and hasn’t) occurred:
